The nuts were BOGO from the 8/12 to 8/18 sale. I got a $1.50 off two in the 8/15 paper. The ice cream was on sale. (It's "no sugar added." I enjoy that every once in a while).

The produce ate up my savings. However, competitors' coupons from Target ($1 off produce) and Aldi ($5 off a $30 purchase) helped bring down the cost. (Aldi doesn't usually do coupons, but there are three new stores opening up in my area and these were apart of the grand opening festivities). The Lysol was BOGO and I had a $0.50 off and $0.75 coupon for that.

Again, you can't save as much as others when you're on a low-carb diet, but the savings on the meat is still great. I never pay more than $1/lb for chicken thighs or leg quarters. When Albertson's was around, I could get this chicken as low as $0.49/lb. Too bad grocery chains do well everywhere but Florida.

Obviously, there weren't any coupons to be used here. The Publix trip was about the same because it was mostly produce.

I used store sales and store coupons for this. There was a $1 off 2 BIC product manufacturer's coupon.

Spent: $11.39

The coffee was 2/$5. I got a $1 off 2 coupon Folger's coffee (that I planned to buy) in the CVS Extra Card machine and combined that with one $0.25 manufacturer's coupon. I had a $5 off manufacturer's coupon for the razor. The razor gave $4 ECBs plus a mail in rebate making it free with profit. I also was emailed a $4 off $20 coupon from CVS on Friday. The water was on sale and the batteries were BOGO free.

Let me just throw this one in for giggles.

Firehouse Subs (Yes, I know it is a low-carb diet buster).

Total Value: $7.83

Thanks is to the free "Enjoy the City" coupon booklet I got from the fundraiser company guy last school year. I bought the drink and chips and got a free medium sub.

Buying non-sale meat and veggies this week brought up my spending. Chicken, which I need a break from, was not on sale, and I didn't want to buy the BOGO pork products this time. The frozen veggies were on BOGO. Broccoli bunches were BOGO, but I need a break from that too. They had a pretty good Procter & Gamble Deal. I'll highlight those savings.

Crest Glide Floss ($0.99)
$0.99 Clearance (store special; sale price is $2.50; regular price is $3.99)
$0.75 off coupon

Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste ($2.50)
$0.75 off coupon

Scope Outlast Mouthwash ($3.49)
$0.75 off coupon

Buy 3 P&G tooth regimen products and get $3 off on the same order.

When you add up everything, I got those three products for $1.73. Wow.
